at least five lemons
a big ginger root
a tube of anchovy paste
a tube of garlic paste
a string cheese
jar of hummus
two partial packages of salami,  one  genoa and one  hard
a slim jim
a package of capocollo
a block and a half of cracker barrel sharp white cheddar
a baggie of random cheese
3 limes
bag of baby carrots
pillsbury tube of artisan dinner rolls
can of bellini peach nectar  (we do have prosecco as well)

a smidge of black walnuts
pitted dates

some horrible squash
one bok choy
two heads of celery, one old and bad, one older and badder-- they have good on them!!  okay, trimming away the bad
and five BluApples from my son's science fair experiment
To be fair we've had a very rough week.

right drawer:
giant bags pecans, almonds, walnuts
more dried pineapple
dry roasted edamame
more currants in a really stained box -- the currants are still fine!!!
pistachios in the shell
really old dates possibly from six Thanksgivings ago
There is sort of a dry mulch in the bottom of this drawer.

Now we have to take out the compost which has celery and squash sticking up out of it. :)

We eat really well in this house.  To live as wholesomely as we do you have to be able to tolerate a few things expiring in the fridge.  It's a price we're willing to pay.
