As usual, I really enjoyed this! If Jack were to have an immortal friend to spend his life with, Rose is exactly the right person for him. Their experience together was good and healing, and his experience since then has been incredibly painful--enough for him to opt into a years-long coma. Being with Rose is gonna be way more healing than that.

I enjoyed seeing Jack off his game a little, being the one pursued instead of pursuing, and wow, when Rose decides to seduce someone it's incredibly hot.

Great first line!

Oh, Jack! He really deserves to feel that way, but he can only get there through the Nonanovaine. :(

Jack felt a rush of warmth as he realized that someone had finally cared enough about him to come looking.

That... is a really neat observation.

“We’ll find him,” Rose said. “Til then, I think it would be lovely if we could stay together.”

“Yeah,” Jack said. “Me too.”

Awwwwww! My new headcanon, right there.

“I know you loved him, Jack,” Rose whispered. “I love him too. But I love you, as well. Can’t we jus love each other, here and now?”
