I tried to parallel Sam to Jesus as closely as I could. The idea of the "anti-Christ" comes from the Revelation, in which "anti-Christ" and the Beast are rather mechanistic figures who tear apart the world, sort the sheep from the goats, and make way for the New Jerusalem. I didn't go there, preferring the Gospel accounts of Christ to see what a messiah would do. If Sammy is indeed the Boy King he is very parallel to Jesus, in that Jesus was also mistaken for a worldly king instead of one interested in saving souls and building a kingdom in Heaven. It remains to be seen if Sammy is building a kingdom of some sort!
I absolutely agree that Sam and Dean should be alive together -- saving people, hunting things, all the way to their respective rocking chairs!
