Ha! That's awesome. There's something about brothers come through fire, whether they're blood or not, that's pretty irresistable. Jake and Elwood are my go-to icon for brotherly things (plus their Dodge is in the background \o/).
I also can't imagine that John wouldn't load them up before he takes off. It's just not him. Dean probably goes with him, and yeah, hopefully is being trained to buy the right stuff. I can't see John not caring what Dean feeds Sam (or eats himself). So it's definitely not impossible. My head just goes to the aforementioned (and bologne sandwiches, now that I think of it). But tuna and chili works, too. Easy to prepare....
I also like the total focus you gave him, post-Striga. :/ And the cunning – he knows how to use people's perceptions. Come across trustworthy now, bank credibility for later in case of needing to lift some stuff. *nods*
