I was especially nervous trying to reference the Doctor's past lives, so I'm glad that worked for you. :) And to make Eight's torment real, when it's all related in a flash of memories. I often ponder that regeneration and its mysteries-- cataclysmic? or catatonic? I go back and forth. Poor Eight, and Poor Nine -- I think there's a lot more continuity there than people really think about, because our experience of Eight is so fragmented.

Next up for Who@50 is Seven! I want to reread Lungbarrow if I have time. :)
