spn retrospective: s4!
Oct. 1st, 2014 10:48 pm:D :D :D • 4.01 Lazarus Rising -- my favorite season opener. The long silent sequence where Dean claws himself out of the grave and finds his way back to Bobby and Sam -- it's SO GOOD. And then everything about it. I love it. One of my favorite of all eps for sure.
:D :D • 4.02 Are You There, God? It's Me, Dean Winchester -- all the great Witnessing spirits, including Meg and Ronald Resnick and Henriksen. wow!
:D :D • 4.03 In the Beginning -- going back in time to meet Samuel, Deanna, young John, young Mary, with bonus the Impala! excellent.
o_o • 4.04 Metamorphosis -- the rugaru, a little heavy handed but not terrible...
:D • 4.05 Monster Movie -- not only the black and white, but the LEDERHOSEN. plus I love anything with shifters.
:) • 4.06 Yellow Fever -- the ep that gave us Eye of the Tiger can't be all bad, even tho, as often with Dabb and Loflin, there is an element that bothers me a whole lot -- here, the way they destroy the ghost. extremely awful. I'm torn about this ep...
:) • 4.07 It's the Great Pumpkin, Sam Winchester -- Uriel, Cas on a bench, and Sam using his powers. I like it. :)
:D • 4.08 Wishful Thinking -- There is the issue of non-con in this ep, which ought to kill it, but as is usual with Edlund, for me, the overall story works. Kneel before Todd!
:D • 4.09 I Know What You Did Last Summer -- so many great moments in this ep, not the least was the church window stunt -- amazing!
:D • 4.10 Heaven and Hell -- a very well plotted ep and one that had me riveted for the hiatus. I really loved Ruby and the long game in this. wow!
:) • 4.11 Family Remains -- heartbreaking ep about humans being the monster. very well done I thought.
:D • 4.12 Criss Angel Is a Douchebag -- an interesting ep, and one does have to give them credit for seeing what would happen with a different actor playing Old Dean. Didn't quite work for me tho.
:D :D • 4.13 After School Special -- crucial ep for learning who Sam and Dean were as kids.
:D • 4.14 Sex and Violence -- the siren ep, so hearbreaking!
o_o • 4.15 Death Takes a Holiday -- the one where they become ghosts. there are some problems with this ep, but not dire.
:D :D :D • 4.16 On the Head of a Pin -- another of my favorite eps of all time. If only the show had kept up with their judgment on Torture.
:D :D :D • 4.17 It's a Terrible Life -- SMITH AND WESSON. so much awesome!!
:D :D :D • 4.18 The Monster at the End of This Book - CHUCK!!
:D • 4.19 Jump the Shark -- I really like the character of Adam, and what it meant to Dean and Sam, so I am pro this ep.
:D :D • 4.20 The Rapture -- the Jimmy and Clare ep!! I loved it. The horrors of being a vessel. wah.
:D • 4.21 When the Levee Breaks -- omg, poor Sam, so horrible
:D • 4.22 Lucifer Rising -- this ep is awesome in every detail. So amazing SPN.
