my bizarre thing with locks reaches new level of bizarre

I have this thing with locks, where I am often locked out, or where lock and key don't function the way they should around me.  This has been a lifelong problem.

Today was the worst ever because I went to teach at two different student's houses this afternoon, and BOTH of them were locked out.

Yes.  My 2:30 student was locked out with her grandparents.

Then I finally left to go to my 3:15 student, and she and her dad were ALSO LOCKED OUT.

what is this even.   Two completely different students, both completely locked out of their homes, both in one day.
