~~ Watched RTD's The Second Coming, starring Christopher Eccleston and Lesley Sharp (she played the possessed woman in "Midnight"). If you are a New Who fan, you NEED to see this movie asap. Without giving anything away... Chris and Lesley were both mesmerizing in this story. Chris's acting just bursts with intensity, and RTD was working out issues he absolutely revisited in his story arc with the Doctor.
~~ Still pondering the surreal work of Marc Platt. Both Time's Crucible and Lungbarrow planted extremely fruitful ideas in my head. Such crazy worldbuilding!! I love it.
~~ my Brown Pinstripe Suit arrived in the mail from ebay yesterday, and it fit!!! I'm so excited. Now I have to buy Converse. :D :D :D I really don't know why I love crossdressing so much. I am IN NO WAY built like David Tennant. i'm 5'1" and I probably outweigh him! I love when Donna says " how are you so skinny -- this wouldn't fit a rat!" Luckily my new jacket fits me across the shoulders and even the bust. :D
~~ Blue Skies drabblethon. I find it very interesting how difficult it is for me to use a photograph as a prompt. So far I've used two photos ever: the first was that crazy grill photo which made me think of high Gallifreyan.... the second, a photo of cracked dry ground. Both photos were patterns more than images, if you see what I mean. I'm a musician and I tend to think aurally.... like in my brain my thought process sounds like me speaking, or is lines of text, but almost no images whatsoever. i look at images and they identify verbally without sparking inspirations. like, i'm looking at a photo of fireworks and the word "fireworks" just repeats in my head, with you know the actual word taking the place of the image. So, I guess, in order to get bunnies from photos, I need to translate them from images into patterns? or into a string of words rather than a simple description? the other idea i had was to link the image to a song. that hasn't worked yet!! :P
The series of drabbles I'm working on right now are from all the single word prompts from the blue skies drabblethon. OMG i love drabbling. The process is so similar to writing poetry.... the way the word count drives what you take out and what you leave in.
My drabble series is Nine/Rose. I think it would be fun to take the same word prompts and write another drabble series about Dean's summer with Crazy!Sammy. We'll see.
