500 episode challenge!
Jan. 9th, 2012 01:21 pmTo me it sounds like a lot, more than one episode a day, but I realize that when my son and I watch episodes on DVD we often shotgun. So, sounds like this would be a good year to start to keep track!
1-10. One thing I got for Christmas was the first season of Heroes (um, who's that guy again, who plays the invisible one? heheheh!) As of Jan 9 we have watched: Don't Look Back, One Giant Leap, Collision, Hiros, Better Halves, Nothing to Hide, Seven Minutes to Midnight, Homecoming, Six Months Ago, and Fallout.
11-19. We are also watching Community on DVD and as it airs. I bought Community for the family and we watched the whole first two season before Christmas I think..... but no, because we just watched the last disk this week. So I'll say in 2012 we have watched: 2.19-24: Critical Film Studies (which is My Dinner with Abed vs Pulp Fiction); Competitive Wine Tasting; Paradigms of Human Memory; Applied Anthropology and Culinary Arts; A Fistful of Paintballs; and, A Few Paintballs More. Of these, the paintball episodes were at genius levels of incredibly awesome. Last night, on the internet, we watched, "Foosball and Nocturnal Vigilantism" which was also genius. Plus, we also watched "Basic Rocket Science," and "Accounting for Lawyers" in which the incident with the chloroform made me almost choke laughing. Community is amazing!!! It's up there with my favorite comedies ever.
20. Today on youtube I watched a show about how David Tennant researching his family history. It was incredibly interesting, because his maternal grandparents were from Northern Ireland, so his family history involved the Troubles. The show is posted on youtube under the title of "So You Think I'm Scottish?" It was about an hour, broken up into five segments, and it was totally worth it, and not just for fangirls of David. Thanks very much to
21. And of course we watched the first episode of Supernatural for the New Year -- the only show we watch as it airs: 7.11 "Adventures in Babysitting." I really liked the little girl Hunter. She was fantastic. And yes, Very "True Grit."
22. And I got out my Withnail and I VHS and watched Paul McGann and Richard E. Grant wallow in their misery.
So I think that's 21 episodes already plus at least one movie. o_O {ETA I decided to include movies in my count.}

and PS -- look at this yummy icon of David as Brendan by von-gelmini ! He has this evil glint. :D
