I love very near to NASA Goddard, so they intentionally flew the shuttle right over us. It was so awesome. I heard the roar of the 747 and dashed outside with my camera trying to figure out where it was and then I could see -- it looked much more awesome with the naked eye than with my camera, which was not zoomed properly in my haste!! It had a little jet flying beside it as well. It was lovely against the blue sky.
SO VERY COOL. I am very much in favor of manned space flight so I can't wait to see what comes next. :D
I'm using my Uhura icon because Nichelle Nichols has worked very hard as a goodwill ambassador for NASA and the Shuttle program. :D
