fannishlissI'm looking for prompts. I haven't written much of anything all summer and would love to have some good ideas to work on this fall.

Date: 2012-09-07 01:06 am (UTC)I've always wondered about the gap between Father's Day and The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances. Their relationship crosses a bridge in there somewhere, and the UST becomes more overt... It's easy to blame Captain Jack for making the Doctor jealous, but the tension between them at the beginning of the story and the "dancing" (or discussion thereof) are not that shallow. I would love to see why! Especially because I love your Nine.
Also, what did the Bad Wolf do to/say to/show/give/take from/whatever the Doctor before he put her back in the TARDIS? There's that little pause... :)
I am happy with any rating.

And I am always up for more Bad Wolf. I never thought to wonder what she said inside the Doctor's head. :)

Date: 2012-09-07 01:29 pm (UTC)Or, if you're in the mood for a challenge, have my toughest current SPN one that will. not. go away: Dick Roman/Charlie Bradbury. I was fascinated by their dynamic anyhow – between her uniqueness and unclonable "spark" and his ultimate superiority complex, their interactions were incredibly bizarre and full of possibilities. And that whole he's a Leviathan and she's a lesbian thing – the ship refuses to go anywhere sexual in my head (which I'm basically pretty thankful for, although if I saw anyone try writing that I don't think I could resist reading it, just to see if it could be done), but it keeps slewing single-target romantic. And then he goes and tells her she's "kind of completing me right now", which was so perfectly wrong and funny.
I don't know what other fandoms we have in common, but if you want to take a stab at my icon pairing up there, it would fill me with squee and delight. :D

It was so awesome to have Charlie back on Show again. I loved the ep. The whole attraction to Dick Roman thing could still work on a creepy subconscious level... maybe as a dream, or something with her Fairy Girlfriend where a glamour goes wrong.... :D

The whole Charlie/Dick thing has not stopped rattling around in the background in my head, and I pretty much concluded it'd have to be AU anyway. I half-solved it for myself, but I haven't gone back and found the jump-off point in canon, nor can I decide whether to put effort into writing it, when I have so many unfinished to-do fics myself. I ... have given FAR too much thought to this. :D
