Lemony Snicket interview
Dec. 10th, 2012 08:17 pmIf you are a fan of Lemony Snicket and/or Daniel Handler, you will enjoy this interview on NPR's Fresh Air with Terry Gross. He is funny, and he plays the accordion, and poor Ms. Gross can't even keep up with him.

I love the soundtrack songs from the Series of Unfortunate Events, and he plays "Scream and Run Away" on the accordion, and also "when doves cry" which made me and my husband shriek and fall about, and also one new song for his new series of books about 12-yr-old Lemony. YAY! I am greatly hoping that "Who could that be at this hour" will be at the school book sale on Wednesday. :)

Date: 2012-12-11 08:41 am (UTC)It's also cool that he foregrounded the music, which I bet a lot of people don't even know about : "the Tragic treasury" by the Gothic Archies, an original song for each book. I don't know a lot about Stephin Merritt, the guy who writes the songs, but here is a clip of him playing on the Late Late Show with Amanda Palmer, Neil Gaiman, and Moby. nice !!!!!
