Galentines

I have just heard of this new concept of Galentines.  If anyone would like a collage Galentine, please pm me with your  snail addy.  I do old fashioned collage with paper.  I will try to get them out by Feb 13.  :D

You can see in the icon a nice one I did for heintz  last year.  :)

Out of curiosity, what, exactly, is a Galentine? XD They sound fun, regardless, though! I'd love one; your collages are always so lovely. :) Do you still have my address?

Some people don't enjoy the "Romance" vibe of Valentines Day, so Galentines is supposed to be about friendship between women :D and it is celebrated the day before. Apparently it was an ep of Parks and Rec. As made up for TV holidays go I like it better than Festivus so I hope it takes off!!

Ahaha I don't know what Festivus is either. /O\ BUT I KNOW WHEN GROUNDHOG DAY IS I CAN PRETEND IT'S MYSTERY SPOT DAY? :P

Festivus is a Seinfeld thing where people gather around a broom stick, no it's an aluminum pole -- for the airing of grievances, and then perform Feats of Strength. Argh. Apparently it was a thing a writer's family had always done, but slightly differently in real life, and now it's caught on.

You can absolutely celebrate Groundhog's Day as Mystery Spot Day. Groundhog's Day is a huge celebration for my family because we tend towards Seasonal Affective Disorder and Groundhog's Day means the light is coming back!!! So we throw a big party of Pancakes and Sausages. Yay it's this Saturday!

YAAAAY GALENTINE'S DAY!

I had hoped to throw a Galentine's Day party for my gals, but it doesn't look like it'll be an option this year. I have WAAAAAY too much homework to do. *Sad*

That episode of Parks & Rec is brilliant, btw. As are all the episodes from season 2 onward.

I still have last year's valentine on my fridge. I love it. Hmm I think it is a bit lonely could you send me a partner. I would love one that shows the blending of Christianity and Wicca.
