fannishliss* Loki showed up for my Winter Solstice Fondue, but luckily he did not cause any trouble. He has been slinking about the house looking for allies, but the Hulk is keeping an eye on him with extreme prejudice. So far Loki has contacted a Weeping Angel and a Chthulhu Deal, but no firm alliances have been forged, due to the Hulk's watchful rage. I wonder if Loki was behind the sudden appearance of a wizard that surprised Bucky and Steve??? I have a feeling that if Loki can stay out of trouble for a while, he might find a sympathetic ear in Bruce -- once Bruce has a chance to really vent to Loki about the havok he caused in the Battle of New York and previous to that, using the Hulk to take down the Helicarrier. Loki has a lot to answer for. Maybe that is why he has such a pissy look on his face all the time. Pix of Loki as they develop.
* Bucky got nervous when Loki arrived, so he took Steve to look for a Hydra weapons cache. Hydra got the drop on Steve and put a manacle on him, but Bucky quickly regained the upper hand and now he has some new guns which make him very happy.
* We had a lovely time at our annual solstice party, and our tree is up, and most presents have been purchased but not wrapped. Argh, presents that were meant to go in the mail HAVE NOT. ): But I did finish four playlists for folks who requested them, altho I lost my mega password and had to put the last one on box.
* Got my good mic setup at my desktop computer and will be working on making a good recording tonight of a new song that was commissioned.
* Went to a thrift store and found:
The Covenant! omg, bad Stan movie ahoy!
The Hurt Locker! oh hey, excellent Renner and Mackie movie! looking forward to watching it.
The Nannie Diaires! which I was actually looking for! we watched, and it was pretty good. Chris had a tiny role as DudeBro, but Scarlett of course did a terrific job. The movie had a meta aspect I enjoyed.
Went to my usual thrift store and found a huge stack of DVDs, pretty exciting.

Date: 2014-12-23 04:16 am (UTC)have you never seen the hurt locker? it's intense. really good, but when i went to see it i spent almost the entire movie with my shoulders up around my ears from all the tension. i kept having to make myself relax. be warned.
maybe the hulk just needs to whack loki against the floor a few times. i mean, he is only a puny god....

I've watched a good bunch of suspect films for suspect reasons (Devour is at the top of that list) and I have every confidence that the Covenant will be a great experience. At this moment in time I have absolutely no idea about Taylor Kitsch!
I have never seen the Hurt Locker for that very reason! A lot of excellent movies I just don't go see. The world is tense and upsetting enough without adding to that with tense upsetting movies. But somehow I feel like I owe it to Hawkguy and Falcon to go see the well-regarded movie starring their actorly counterparts..... Mackie is getting SO MUCH WORK right now. I wonder if there will be a big wave of Stan movies next year...
The Hulk is really not pleased with Loki's arrival in the house, but so far he has just been following him, flexing a lot, and breathing like a bull. It's putting a pretty big damper on Loki's glorious purpose. Plus I'm hoping that actually holding the throne of Asgard for a while has had a positive effect on Loki.
