I loved it so much!!

This episode with Baby as the pov character was so awesome!

I don't find SPN to be a very scary show.  But when one of the characters I love is in peril, then I am scared.  With the opening scene and Baby's back window blown out and Dean passed out in handcuffs in the backseat, it made me very nervous!!  I was like OH NO BABY!!!!  YOUR WINDOW!!!!!

Dean can probably manage himself. :) As he proved in the ep.

This was such a great ep for so many reasons.

1.  I loved how it had some downtime for Sam and Dean to be brothers.
2. I loved how they just talked to Cas on the phone. Easy work for Misha. :P
3.  No Angels or Demons, just brothers!!!  (tho, Cas was very helpful).
4. BONUS MATT COHEN!!!!!  woohoo!  Gosh he is a pretty Dad.
5. I love Big Brother Dean being all realistic and nihilist and Sam stubbornly refusing to give up on God.  So freakin awesome.  Sam's face when he is hopeful.  AWWWWWW!!!!!!!!
6. I love the Impala Pov when Dean is fighting the Deputy.  the prattfall!  awesome!! and the blood that never goes away!
7.  The girl who takes Baby for a joyride at the steakhouse!!!!!
8.  I love how people just mysteriously leave useful things in the car for when Dean needs them.  Deus ex machina??? Baby as a handmaiden of God??????????? anyone??
9.  I will never get enough of Chuck as God writing about the Impala and how special she is.
10.  I just love how when you try to explain SPN to the unbeliever you have to explain how Baby is a main character and they just look at you blankly like "huh???"
11.  Dean spinning out like a mofo.  Take that Jessie with the parking lot doughnuts!!
12. Dean and Sammy sleeping in the car, head to toe in their respective seats.  so lovely!!!
13.  working the case!!!  Saving people while hunting things -- the family business!!!!!!
14.  My exclamation point finger is getting tired!!!
15.  My son was like "this is one of the best eps I can ever remember" and I have to agree.  I love Robbie Thompson.  He is by far my current favorite writer.
16.  Just, the whole cinematography and everything being from Her pov.  so beautiful and well done!!!

Thank you SO MUCH Supernatural for giving us the perfect Baby episode.   The only thing that could have been more of a fanservice would have been a devastating woman all in black leather who is Baby herself in Sam's vision, but Matt Cohen was pretty good too.  :D

omg, what a great song choice.  Dean just casually puts in the tape.  So freaking awesome.  "just let it waaaash over you"  LOLZ!!!! then he quotes from a different Bob Seger song, wasn't it, "we got tonight, who needs tomorrow"   and then they have a BEAUTIFUL BROTHERLY HEART TO HEART.  HOLY COW, EP SO GOOD!!!!!
Was I sitting there chanting Lisa Braeden, Lisa Braeden, why yes I was.  Hope never dies!!! Lisa was the BEST.

Well, I think we are for sure getting some divine intervention here. Whether it is "God" or whatever is yet to be revealed.

It also had a Gabriel vibe for sure.... which I would love. Richard Speight is the best, and for him to come back would be awesome. We have had some hints of archangels rattling their cage.

I don't care much for torture, brain drilling etc. but otherwise I am usually pretty happy with SPN. However, this was simply THE BEST. :D

I just enjoyed the heck out of it. Even Dean being all doubtful and nihilistic, that just gave Sammy the excuse to pull out his puppy eyes. It was fantastic. :D

I loved that the boys got some downtime as well. My favourite scenes: the boys talking after Sam's vision/dream and Dean fighting while Cas kept on talking and talking :D

It's interesting that the monsters too are reacting to the Darkness...doesn't bode well.

Personally, I found it kind of claustrophobic. And the first half felt quite slow and like too much was missing. It had a lot of good points, but the gimmicky aspect was a little much for me.

It was slow for sure, but I liked it. And the restricted pov worked for me. I didn't know about it in advance, idk if that helped me. :)
