Steve and Bucky at the Rock Show

Steve and Bucky went with us to see some Heavy Metal.  Parts of it they liked, though the light show was a little bit too much for them and so they went to buy some overpriced beer and wads of tater tots with cheese on top.

Bucky warned us not to headbang so hard that we got whiplash, but Steve encouraged us to pogo and bodyslam as much as we could stand.  We did not get whiplash, so yay!!

If you are curious, the bands we saw were Alter Bridge, Breaking Benjamin, and Disturbed.  It was a good show, though the acoustics left a lot to be desired.  :P

Ooh that's quite a line up! Though really you'd expect the acoustics to be top notch for metal concerts, how disappointing!

Yes, Alter Bridge was really great! and we have loved BB and Disturbed for a long time.

The acoustics weren't good. With Breaking Benjamin it's especially important to hear the vocals well, and you just couldn't. :P

They improved with Disturbed, but then David was a little off here and there, which I kind of attribute to the sound.... but maybe he was just having a bit of an off night. it was a great show anyway!!

yes, David Draiman in all his glory. They performed his new cover of Sounds of Silence. Honestly, I don't think the sound was great for him on stage either! But it was still a fun show. I realized my favorite album of theirs is from 2003, so I have been a fan of theirs for a long time and was happy to finally get to see them. :)
