Armstrong, my gerbil, was a "lab rat" so he is named after a Science Hero. His brother was named Aldrin. (Their other brother, Naranbattar, had a traditional Mongolian name because Gerbils are from Mongolia. It means "sunshine hero" :)

I have a digital camera, not a smartphone, so I have to insert the memory card into the computer every time to load up the pictures.... but I do remember the old days, of taking a roll of 24 and mailing it off, and waiting ten days, and then seeing what I got!! :)

thank you! I was really pleased with the way this one came out.

The full moon in July is called "Buck Moon" -- ie, the deer have their antlers grown in by this time. It was funny to me that several people mentioned the "Buck Moon" when usually no ones mentions that kind of thing unless there's an eclipse or a blue moon or something. :)
