Hi!

two quick things now that I am back from my vacation.

#1.  Have you all watched the Tick on Amazon? It is a new Amazon Prime pilot and we have to vote for it to make it happen.  Honestly, it is the weirdest, darkest iteration of the Tick ever.  But I will always vote for the Tick.  Let me know what you all think!  I was very happy when Misha promoted it.  Go Ben Edlund forever!!

#2.  Just watched "The Bronze." It was not at all what I expected, and was WAY better than the reviews.  I liked it pretty well.  I'd give it 4 or even 4.5 stars out of five.  Has anyone else seen it? I went to my nearest "redbox" kiosk and rented it for $1.59, so the risk was low, and the expectations were low, but I really enjoyed it.  Comments? Sebastian Stan fans?

[3.  Watched "Hail Caesar!" for the third time and continue to adore it!  Shocked to discover that people think it is boring.  WHAT???]

[4.  I have so many pix of Bucky and Steve on vacation that I am paralyzed.  I want to write an awesome story that will live up to the pix.... ]

Oh thanks for the heads up about The Tick, I hadn't noticed it was on Amazon Prime. Got to admit, I wasn't that impressed with Hail Caesar. It was one of those films that I thought promised much and didn't really deliver, in spite of George's cute little brown legs.

Oh but a cute Stucky story to accompany your holiday pics? Yes please!

George Clooney did a great job. My favorite part for him was the takes of him looking into the face of Christ, and the director yelling, "Squint!!! Squint against the Glory!!!!"

Maybe it is funnier to us because my husband has worked with that exact type of director. :D

If the Tick gets picked up I will be so pleased!!

i felt the same about the bronze! better than expected, and genuinely funny! well, my idea of funny, anyway. sebstan however was exactly what i was expecting - hot as hell and such a dick. he and his ott sex scene were the only reasons i wanted to see it, so i was glad i actually kinda liked it.

Absolutely, I waited A YEAR to watch that sex scene. It was very silly!!

But Sebastian did a fine job in the role as Jerk.

I thought Melissa Rauch did a fantastic job. The character was such an awful person, yet I was compelled by her any way and couldn't quite say why?? I just loved her snappy, dry delivery of every moment. And I loved the ending!! :D It's funny because I recently watched "Identity Thief" with Melissa McCarthy and Jason Bateman, and I thought it got off to a much slower start and not really very funny... but I loved her in "Ghostbusters" and especially "Spy" .... I think "Spy" is how we found out about the new Tick, because Peter Serafinowicz was the ott Italian in Spy and is playing the new Tick! :D

I really need to watch The Tick, because I am a HUGE fan of the animated show. One of the highlights of my fandom life was talking with Ben Edlund while he signed the four Tick action figures I bought at a SDCC.

I thought Hail Caesar was hilarious. Don't know if I would watch it three times, but I could watch Channing Tatum channel Gene Kelly every day for the rest of eternity. That was amazing.

I love Hail Caesar. Every little bit of it. My favorite character is Hobie. "If you want that mirthless chuckle I'll do my best to give her to ya!" He is just so awesome.

And Channing's dance routine is glorious!!! NO DAMES!!!

I have loved the Tick for a million years. Ben Edlund is my top favorite writer. I don't know if I could handle talking to him in person. Wow!!! This new pilot is a little weird, but I would be so happy if they made it!!!

I read the comic book long ago and became a huge fan of Edlund, and he is why I ever got into Supernatural!

I also loved the cartoon and the first short live action series. This one is very different in tone.

We also have Amazon Prime and it is a challenge to find free movies to watch. One great thing we have watched on it though is Orphan Black. :D

I've yet to take advantage of the membership, should really considering it cost me nearly 80 quid! I'll check the show out hun and let you know what I think :)
