I actually have flown a plane, but that doesn't mean I'm a pilot! :P

You realize this means I have to marry you, now, if you're Wash.

Because my love for Wash is huge and immense and would fill the Grand Canyon and he floats like a leaf, motherfucker, so watch him soar!

Wash is so awesome!

it reminds of this fun icon made by active_apathy that had the dinosaurs doing a seasonal message.

It was really funny!!!

Heh, dinosaur icons are great. :D

I've been meaning to ask you, and your motel icon just reminded me, what you thought of an idea of mine. I've been thinking about doing some photos of cheesy, old-fashioned motels in my part of the country. Maybe some diners, too. You know, Sam and Dean places! Do you think there might be interest in making a comm or something, for people to contribute photos from their local roadsides, too?

I adore roadside kitsch. My husband and I always try to stop at old "roadside attractions" and eat at local type places --though we usually do NOT stay at sketchy motels! :P

We recently drove through Winchester, VA looking for good stuff, but didn't really find much....

But I think it's a great idea and I'd sure help you pimp it out. I don't have any technical expertise in terms of photo storage or that sort of thing. ... But I did make my own MOTEL BEER EAT icon. (I grew up about five miles from it.)

Right? That's one of the best things about America! Well, maybe not the sketchy motels... ;D What kind of area do you live in, rural?

I grew up on a farm in RURAL West Virginia, a very beautiful place about fifty years behind the times. I now live outside DC in a suburban townhouse-- so it is pretty different!!!

Oh, West Virginia is gorgeous! So's Virginia. The Great Smokies are spectacular. I just went for a drive in the Adirondaks, got a great pic of Speculator covered in ice crystals.

OK, I'mma stop spamming you now and go read your fic... ;D

When I was little my Dad learned to fly and we had a small airplane, a Piper Tripacer. So, technically, I learned to fly. I practiced taking off, cruising, circling, and landing, and did them all with my dad in the copilot seat. But sadly, I never took formal lessons, which you need to do in order to log the hours for a license, and of course I never soloed. So, yeah, I used to fly, but am not a pilot!! Also, it was many years ago, so I don't know if I could remember it now. Thanks for asking! :)

I love Wash too! He is awesome.

I turned out to be Wash, and my husband turned out to be Zoe, so that was nice. :)

Our offspring was 60% Alliance! Shocker! He was Kaylee, though, so that was all right. :)
