sage advice needed!

hi, my boy has a very annoying cold with runny nose.  what is the best remedy, over the counter?  he is miserable!

every time my boy doesn't have to wipe his sad sad nose, Sammy gets a hug!!  :)

My doctor always recommends Mucinex and Delsym.

Mucinex with thin the mucus and improve drainage. Delsym will deal with the inevitable cough that comes from the drainage.

It may make the runny nose a little worse but I think it will be better in the long term to get it done with.

I have never tried Mucinex and all of a sudden different people have been recommending it. for tonight, i just dosed him with a Benadryl. Hopefully he will at least sleep!

In THIS icon, Dean has an awful cold and Sammy is only snuggling him to make him feel better. I hope Sam does not catch it, since that was also my job all night last night!
