1. Make a list of 5 things that you can see without getting up.
I live in a very small house, so I can see my entire downstairs, that includes my dining table, piano, kitchen to the left, hoosier cabinet, couch and media corner (cds, lps, and vhs abounding), my three downstairs bookshelves, two out of three gerbil tanks; out my side window I see my shed and out my westward windows I see rainy day.
2. How do you style your hair?
I've been working on getting my hair down to my knees. I wear it in a braid, with bangs. I do put it up sometimes as well!
3. What are you wearing now?
My eleven year old silver Doc Martens, jeans, a really soft long sleeved gap t, my leather rain hat (I don't usually take off my hat when I come in!) silver heart earrings, my silver tag that says BELIEVE --I tried to tap letter dies into the other side so it would say SING but I was only moderately successful; assorted rings, big silver cuff, steel wrist watch. And since spring does seem to be on the way, only one piece of silk underwear -a camisole.

I also have a miniature golf name: Fiery Orlinda. (My husband is The Claw, and my son is Beyonjim Scarey.)

Date: 2011-03-10 11:39 pm (UTC)Someone very generously gave me the hammered dulcimer about a month ago, so I am trying to learn a few of my favorite songs on it. It goes out of tune easily and takes a long time to retune!! It seems to respond to humidity, so I blame all the rain...
Does she also read Romanticism? :)
I thought I'd pick out the "most me" icon... which today seems to be either solitaire or Dean, with Dean winning out. I like the way he casually inflicts his Motorhead on the unsuspecting listener. I get a big kick out of busking heavy metal out of my folksinger appearance. :)

Date: 2011-03-13 05:28 pm (UTC)There is a graphic representation of the history of SF which has been recently referred to on my flist... it does the right thing in mentioning both Frankenstein and one of my favorite early fantastic writers, Margaret Cavendish -- but it neglects to mention a cool book by Mary W. Shelley's father, William Godwin -- who wrote St. Leon (1799), a story about a man who entirely fails to perfect human society through the use of the Philosopher's Stone and the Elixir Vitae.
