I'm a poet as well as a songwriter, so it kind of freaks me out to strip the music off and present the lyrics as a bare poem... especially since they don't scan like a real poem should. But your comm is awesome, and one of the few places for fanpoetry.... so I thought I'd wedge the song in since songs and poems are at least double first cousins. :)

Haha, yes! songs and poems are very close relatives! they get along quite well, I think, though you're right that they're not the same, which was why the music part so excited me here. I'd love to see more fan songs like these :D
