fannishlissI loved how the show started out with Dean spilling everything to Sammy. Good boy Dean!! Now, Sam has to spill too or I will be very cross. Did yall ever read astolat's awesome story where they went to Hogwarts and Sammy was like the uber Slytherin? cause he so is. he's never going to tell Dean his little secrets ... he's like, "I'm using my secret power and I'm very clever and if I think it's for the best, no one else needs to know." I don't like the secrecy. It makes for division, and Divided we fall. Winchesters Unite!
I love "when have I ever forgotten the pie?" and then HE DOES. HARR!
The Panic Room totally made the episode. Plus my husband was like, "That's Bo Derek." hee hee! and Bobby was like, I had a free weekend. Best line ever. Dean was so proud!! It made me really appreciate that compared to other hunters, Bobby is a total badass. He's not just a great researcher, he also has a SAFE ROOM. (Did anyone else hear a shout out to Venture Bros when they kept calling it a panic room?)
I was in so much FEAR for Bobby! I was so yelling Bobby! Bobby! I thought it was really suspenseful. If Kripke kills Bobby I'll HUNT HIM DOWN. And I want better billing for Bobby. It's not that i didn't like Ruby and Bela, they were ok by me, but they are all over the DVD box and the gag reel and I actually LOVE BOBBY. so I hope he gets better billing for this season.
I like everyone's comments on how Castiel is making Dean into "God's little soldier" -- that totally works, and it's really sad. Also, his line about "I pulled you out of the pit and I can put you back" -- yes, I can see an angel saying that to make someone do their bidding. Jensen really nailed the reaction too -- the visceral panic when he thought of going back to hell. He doesn't remember much, but he remembers enough.
I didn't like the big difference in the way Misha played Castiel this week vs. last week. I much preferred crazy creepy alien Castiel to tough guy Castiel. They better make up their minds.
I liked the idea that Lilith is breaking open the seals to bring the Apocalypse. Normally that would be the Angels' job. I was hoping that Castiel was all rogue and was bringing the apocalypse himself, to get rid of all the extra demons that are loose, or something. The one line I totally wish they would take back: "Six of my brothers were killed in the field this week." I was really hoping that Castiel was a loner if not a rogue; and also I don't like what it implies about how easy they are to kill. Is Lilith killing them -- when she couldn't kill Sam? Hmmm..
I was bummed that we got to see another female hunter get taken down. Are the boys ever going to get to work with another woman who doesn't immediately get killed? I mourn Olivia. I'm still bummed about Pamela from last week, she lifted Bobby onto his toes!! has anyone noticed that Bobby knows A LOT OF AWESOME WOMEN HUNTERS?
One part that disappointed me was Sam and Dean sleeping in the living room. What with Bobby's seemingly endless number of rooms upstairs, they don't still have their old childhood room? That's like one of my favorite pieces of fanon. Bummer.
I loved the ghosts. I loved Henriksen and Ron and Meg, and I loved how they handled their accusations. I really like how Meg castigated Sam for letting Ruby walk around in girls. Sera totally saw our concern about consent and RAISED IT. Then all the accusations she made to Dean regarding how he should have exorcised her sooner --- Dean is REALLY going to be not happy about Ruby.
I was pure squee last week, but this week I am still, YAY SHOW!
