fogsblue gave me the letter D. It made me laugh because I kept thinking, does "the Doctor" begin with D, or not??? :P raspberries at myself.
Dean Winchester! I love Dean in so many ways. For the shallow reasons-- I like his sense of humor, his pop culture references, his hedonism, his car, and his taste in music. But I also love him because of his bone-deep sense of duty, his devotion to his brother, and his unbending sense of the greater good, his refusal to ever compromise when it comes to saving people. He is a true Hero in every sense of the word.
Dejah Thoris. Teehee! I just watched "John Carter" yesterday and it is so great to see this pinup of the SF century finally developed as a character in her own right. Plus its kind of amazing how much the actor, Lynn Colllins, actually resembles the pinup version -- especially the 12 inch action figure from 2009 -- it looks just like her!
Dana Scully. It took me a long time to remember that Scully begins with D! :P I loved her in the second XFiles movie more than anything. Mulder kind of goes to seed, but Scully is sharper than ever.
Dale Cooper. I loved Dale Cooper. His autobiography is awesome too. I used to actually rate movies by how many Damn Fine Cups of Coffee they represented -- that is, how awesome they were based on uniquely weird storytelling. I'm going to have to rewatch Twin Peaks again sometime soon. :)
Donna Noble. Catherine Tate gave great humanity -- strength, courage, bravado, compassion, and vulnerability to Donna. The Doctor was so lucky to have her as a friend. I think the destruction of her memories was one of the things that did him in.
"The" Doctor. I've now seen a little of every Doctor except still no Two or Seven. It's wonderful to watch the character as he changes and still stays the same. Nine is my favorite! I love how Nine is suffering from the destruction of the Time Lords, but how he still has hope and the capacity for joy. He's everything I love best about the Doctor.
