hi flist, I am looking for prompts!   Your prompts will give me a happy summer. :D

Please name your preferred rating and I'll do my best. Gen or Explicit I am fine with it.  Your prompt can be a word or a scenario, a kink, a hurt/comfort, whatever flips your flipper, if something comes up that is off the table I'll let you know privately, otherwise, I am game and ready to write!  I love writing to prompt and it is a point of pride with me that I do eventually fill them all one way or another.

prompt me for Supernatural, especially any women characters; demon!Dean, powers!Sam, Weakening!Cas, Crowley, Meg, etc....  I can write to any season as well though I may need some guidance as nine years of canon is a lot to keep straight at this point!

The Doctor, any Doctor (tho I'm not great with Eleven), and especially these companions: Rose, Ace, Jack, Romana, Leela, Sarah Jane, Jamie, Jo, Susan, Charlie, Fitz.  My Doctors are, in today's order of preference, Nine, Eight, Ten, Four, Six, Five, Seven, Eleven, Three, Two, One, the Hurt Doctor, Twelve (who is all in my head right now).

prompt me for Bucky.  I pair him with Steve, but also I love the aspect of past James/Natalia.  I ship Natasha/Clint pretty hard and I do NOT ship Steve/Tony. (It's Tony/Pepper for me 100%, or possibly Tony is an adorbs playboy and Pepper is VERY understanding, and I also buy Tony/Pepper plus Bruce.  Because Bruce is so sweet.)  I do not ship Steve/Natasha (friends only).  I do not ship Sam/Steve, but I can see why people do, and I like the idea of Sam being both open and blunt with Steve about Steve's very tangled ratnest of emotional problems.

Other fandoms I have loved include XFiles (where I shipped Mulder/Krycek, Mulder/Scully, Scully/Skinner, and Skinner/Mulder/Scully); Firefly (Where I ship Jayne/River, or basically Jayne/anyone, because he is a big sexy amoral opportunist);  Sentinel -- because I am ready to write some Jim/Blair, if anyone is asking;  Harry/Snape;  maybe a bit of John/Sherlock (tho I'm out of that headspace right at the moment); Sherlock/Joan (I have to admit I am so pissed she is sleeping with Mycroft.  What the actual fuck?!?!); also Obi/Qui; Dale Cooper/Audrey Horne; figures from mythology; there is probably something glaring I'm not remembering right now.  :)

Go to town!  :D

Bucky!

I love "coming out publicly" stories - either about announcing to the press that Bucky is alive, or announcing (or the press/public discovering) that Captain America is bisexual and in love with his long-lost BFF... and the reaction to all that.

Obviously, I'm asking for Bucky/Steve... That said, I prefer to have Bucky be bisexual too, and since I have a headcanon that Clint/Natasha are in an open relationship and that Steve and Natasha are BFFs, I don't mind if Bucky is also in a friends-with-benefits relationship with Natasha too (just as long as Steve is 100% okay with it, and there is no Steve/Natasha).

yes, I am with you in all of this. I've read a few great coming out stories... so I'll have to ponder for a while what my personal spin is...

I like the idea that Steve and Bucky may have been secretly married back in the day, that they legally marry very privately in the present once Bucky is well enough, and that they are confronted by reporters about Steve's wedding ring. Would that be okay with you?

Yes, that would be awesome. I love stories where they really take advantage of how things have changed like that... like being able to make something that was always true official.

And maybe since wearing a ring on the metal hand would be weird and impractical (because that hand punches through metal alot and any ring would be destroyed), Bucky wears his ring on the right, which is why the reporters don't put it together. Or maybe he wears it around his neck on a chain or something...maybe that's what they did with their cheap pawnshop rings back in the 1930s, when they couldn't wear them on their fingers.

oh, I'm so on it. yay! :D

do you have any recommendations for the location of a shack in rural Ontario?? I am hoping, for Amber1960, to send Sam and Dean on a hunt for a lake monster, and they run into Bucky and Steve who are on a motorcycle odyssey. So, just slightly remote, but not too far off the beaten path? Does this sound at all reasonable for anywhere near lakeshore in Ontario?

Dude! You are asking someone who grew up in rural Ontario. First off, there's like, billions of lakes... do you want it to be a great lake, or just "a lake"?

If you want a shack in the middle of nowhere, but not too far off a major highway (or a popular highway for motorcycle odysseys) then I could recommend the area where my cottage is (Frontenac county), which has a lot of lakes and a lot of shacks... and it also fairly close to a secondary highway that someone driving across Canada would take if they wanted to see scenery and not just a four-lane highway.

But yeah, how big do you want the place to be? Do you want them close to a grocery store/small town? Or do you want them in the middle of nowhere? Because you could just put them next to any of the lakes up around Ompah, Ontario, and that would be the middle of nowhere with nothing around (but paved main-road for motorcycling). That's where my cottage is... if you look it up on google maps - highway 509 is paved and really hilly and winding, which makes it fun for motorcycles (my brother can attest to this), there's is only a church and community/firehall/library in town, and nothing else. Nearest grocery store is 20 minutes in the next town over (Plevna)... and Palmerston Lake has an island in it called Barnes Island.

So, yeah, Steve and Bucky could have been traveling between Toronto and Ottawa on highway 7, got a little bored between Kaladar and Perth (because my god, that highway is boring between Kaladar and Perth) and they could have turned up 509 for a little adventure, or because some local from Shabot Lake told them that the roads were fun...

I'll stop talking now - let me know if you had something less remote in mind, or wanted something in a different part of Ontario.

I thought I remembered that you are from Ontario, that's why I asked. :)

Your place sounds perfect! Do you know the trope of the Canadian shack? It is one of the oldest fic memes I know of. :D

yay, Barnes island! :D

Is it what it sounds like? A secluded shack where there is no civilization and sexytimes happen? Or is it more involved than that?

Up until this year, you couldn't get mobile phone reception up where my cottage is, just to give you an idea of how it may or may not live up to the trope! (You can apparently get reception now, or so my mother just told me this evening.)

fanlore does its job.
http://fanlore.org/wiki/101_Ways_To_End_Up_In_A_Canadian_Shack

I was a lurker back in the day when the first shack fest happened. My boys Jim and Blair always ended up in just such a shack, and it is hilarious now to look at the fandoms represented and realize that these were ACTUALLY PRETTY MUCH ALL of the fandoms that existed at the time. The explosion of fan culture is huge deal that has happened in my lifetime, much to my relief, since I was basically BORN FANNISH. :P

Your cottage sounds like a dream by the way. :D I also grew up in a very rural place. That picture makes me laugh so hard. :D My mom and sister still live there. ...dang, my motel beer eat icon is unavailable. soon I will cave and pay LJ again. :(

Haha, that's awesome. I was going to ask if it might have started with the Due South fandom. That was my first fandom, and I know how much shacks in the middle of nowhere factored into their curtain-fic stories... or really any stories set in Canada, because most people know that 95% of Canada is "the middle of nowhere"... especially the part of the country Fraser comes from.

But it's hilarious that the Canadian shack leaked over to other fandoms. That's awesome.
