hi flist, I am looking for prompts!   Your prompts will give me a happy summer. :D

Please name your preferred rating and I'll do my best. Gen or Explicit I am fine with it.  Your prompt can be a word or a scenario, a kink, a hurt/comfort, whatever flips your flipper, if something comes up that is off the table I'll let you know privately, otherwise, I am game and ready to write!  I love writing to prompt and it is a point of pride with me that I do eventually fill them all one way or another.

prompt me for Supernatural, especially any women characters; demon!Dean, powers!Sam, Weakening!Cas, Crowley, Meg, etc....  I can write to any season as well though I may need some guidance as nine years of canon is a lot to keep straight at this point!

The Doctor, any Doctor (tho I'm not great with Eleven), and especially these companions: Rose, Ace, Jack, Romana, Leela, Sarah Jane, Jamie, Jo, Susan, Charlie, Fitz.  My Doctors are, in today's order of preference, Nine, Eight, Ten, Four, Six, Five, Seven, Eleven, Three, Two, One, the Hurt Doctor, Twelve (who is all in my head right now).

prompt me for Bucky.  I pair him with Steve, but also I love the aspect of past James/Natalia.  I ship Natasha/Clint pretty hard and I do NOT ship Steve/Tony. (It's Tony/Pepper for me 100%, or possibly Tony is an adorbs playboy and Pepper is VERY understanding, and I also buy Tony/Pepper plus Bruce.  Because Bruce is so sweet.)  I do not ship Steve/Natasha (friends only).  I do not ship Sam/Steve, but I can see why people do, and I like the idea of Sam being both open and blunt with Steve about Steve's very tangled ratnest of emotional problems.

Other fandoms I have loved include XFiles (where I shipped Mulder/Krycek, Mulder/Scully, Scully/Skinner, and Skinner/Mulder/Scully); Firefly (Where I ship Jayne/River, or basically Jayne/anyone, because he is a big sexy amoral opportunist);  Sentinel -- because I am ready to write some Jim/Blair, if anyone is asking;  Harry/Snape;  maybe a bit of John/Sherlock (tho I'm out of that headspace right at the moment); Sherlock/Joan (I have to admit I am so pissed she is sleeping with Mycroft.  What the actual fuck?!?!); also Obi/Qui; Dale Cooper/Audrey Horne; figures from mythology; there is probably something glaring I'm not remembering right now.  :)

Go to town!  :D

Comment to this post, and I will list five things I want you to talk about. They might make sense or they might be totally random. Then post that list, with your commentary, to your journal. Other people can get lists from you, and the meme merrily perpetuates itself.
I got my questions from the nifty and perceptive [livejournal.com profile] who_in_whoville.
1. Who is the biggest baddest damn hero of them all?  Snape...
2. Would you want to be a member of the Firefly crew? and would you ever trust Jayne? YES ...
3. Which fairy tale character are you most like?  the Prince in Sleeping Beauty....
4. Did you understand Twin Peaks?  yes!  :D
5. The Doctor shows up on your doorstep, but he is off to face the Daleks. Do you go with him? Yes....

* the Cat (offspring) is Away, so the Mice (Orator and I) will play!

*  last night, saw "Beginners" at our local theater.  Hip hip Hurrah! Ewan McGregor plays a 38 year old man trying to understand his  and his parents' life, after the death of his dad (Christopher Plummer), who came out and lived the last four years of his life openly gay, after being closeted in a marriage for 44 years. It's beautiful, sweet, and ultimately hopeful (but not pat), and very stylish in terms of the wonderful film-making.    Also stars an adorable little Jack Russell terrier who gets subtitles, and a beautiful French woman who is Ewan's love interest.    Interesting explicit parallels are made between the little dog and the French woman.  I was distracted by Ewan's American accent (he did a perfectly good job, but I'm bats over the Scottish accent..... ) and thought how it must be very familiar to him to make love to a French woman (in real life he married Eve Marzakis in 1995 and they have two daughters together).  For me, Ewan McGregor is like Cary Grant, or Paul Newman -- just that gorgeous, perfect, irreproachable actor who makes (almost) anything watchable.   [said the old Obi/Qui lurker with 14 Jedi Apprentice novels in her attic] Anyone up for a repeat viewing of The Island???  I could also offer Velvet Goldmine, possibly the slashiest film ever made. Is it still slashy if it's actually gay??  Hm.

* also on DVD saw the Coens' "Burn After Reading."  the Coens could make an extremely well-crafted and entertaining movie out of the phone book.  Excellent performances by a raft of fantastic actors, including Frances McDormand, George Clooney, Brad Pitt, John Malkovitch, Tilda Swinton, and my one of my old favorites from TV, David Rasche, who played the lead on the satirical humor/cop show, Sledge Hammer.  He delivers tons in a tiny little role.  :D  Really, the Coens have A-listers glued to their windows like cats around a curiosity shop.

* today, must read very thick book about the Civil Rights movement and Communism.  Awesome!  Need Caffeine.

* Next week, will be Largely Away from Internets.  In the wilds of the North Carolina Sandhills.  It will be hot.  There will be swimming and Family Times.  That is all.

* Am rolling happily in the "Whoniverse" (first time typing out my new fandom's little used name).  Cat's Cradle: Time's Crucible, a much-reviled Who novel about Karn by Mark Platt, author of the hot mess Lungbarrow (value = $100, or free on scribd!), just arrived.  Am very excited.   Picture my Simpsonsesque fingers of greedy enjoyment. Also, "The Second Coming" has shipped.  And Who s6 awaits on itunes for a mere 13USD (bucks).  And, my Nine and Rose figures shipped!!!  And I did NOT buy the purple shirted Rose, but rather, the s1, Cute Rose, that actually looks like her. And Nine, unlike my Ten, has not Lost his Sonic. :D  Will they scrap over the Sonic, or over Rose? or BOTH.  mmmmm, Nine and Ten are scrapping in my head :D

* Having restrained myself in my Whoniverse purchases, I attempt balance out greedy acquisition with Charitable Giving.  Please consider giving to the Red Cross at this time.... the many horrible disasters around the US include the complete and utter flooding of the very sweet little town of Minot, North Dakota, displacing Twelve Thousand People, whose worldly goods have been Submerged.  My new Who friend, [livejournal.com profile] who_in_whoville ,  used to live there.  :(

* am attempting to start a no_soul_sam comm with the lovely [livejournal.com profile] monicawoe , a shining light in the world of Love for the fascinating Sam who Has No Soul, yet walks around with such a Gleam in his eye that women everywhere would have sex with him without even demanding monetary compensation.  He is very Firm.  * Please allow me also to Heap Praises Upon [livejournal.com profile] datenshiblue , a goddess among no soul sam lovers, who is co modding, and has also made our comm banner!  am hoping she will link her magnificent s6 codas over there right away.  :)

* Have a good time all you Potterites.  My love for JKR and her world died a sad, sad death with Snape WHO SHOULD'VE LIVED, AND IN FACT DID LIVE, and runs an apothecary under an assumed name in Spain, the end. Interesting commentary on NPR this morning where a 16 year old was saying how this was the story of her generation. I am 43 and truly grateful to JKR and her amazing contribution to imaginative literature for children (and adults).  I grew up in the 70s, and I was considered Horribly Weird for enjoying SF.  Times have changed indeed, when thousands of costumers overrun cities like Baltimore at con-time...  it's a beautiful new world out there, thanks largely to one Brilliant and Persevering Redhead (even tho SNAPE IS SO UNJUSTLY DEAD, or actually ALIVE AND WELL IN SPAIN).

* okay, time to put in Hours, so that my organization will Have a Fall Schedule.  then eat breakfast, get dressed, and hie me to the library.

* the Washingon DC Metro Area is having the MOST AMAZING WEATHER.  Breathing deeply (and not choking!)
