dear friends, It looks like I will be available this year during the time of GISHWHES.  I would love to be on a team with someone I know-- if any of you has a team that needs me, please let me know!

I am not a complete Newby, I did GISHWHES the first year.  I dressed my husband in a suit made of collard greens and it was AWESOME.  My son is also interested in being a participant.

If I don't hear from anyone I guess I will just register and take my chances.  If you have never done it and are curious, YOU SHOULD DO IT.  Everyone should do Gishwhes at least once, it is too cool to pass up.

Last night I got in this weird fever to watch Stonehenge Apocalypse. I just wanted to understand why people keep saying  "IT WAS A ROBOT HEAD."

So anyway, I discovered that for $3.99 you can watch it streaming from Amazon!  How easy is that!!  Syfy was completely useless in that regard.  We had not previously had much success with streaming, ie Hulu or when we used to watch Lost on ABC, because it would freeze a lot, but the Amazon stream didn't freeze even once,  and there was no wait for buffering, so I was very pleasantly surprised.

I also learned, much to my surprise, that also starring in the movie, besides Misha Collins (who was rocking the ironic/deadpan/serious role he was given) is THE REALLY OLD GUY, Methos from Highlander.  It's funny to me how times change.  I've never been a huge Highlander fan, but I'm surprised that amongst all the furor over Misha starring in this crazy film, I never saw any mention that Peter Wingfield was also in it!!

My review is purposely low on spoilers, but I'll put it behind a cut anyway. I feel it's important to note that my expectations for this type of movie are very, very low.  So I was quite pleased with it!!

Misha is running today!

I think it is so cool that he is using his celebrity in such a positive way.  I really love how he's handled his transition into fannish icon, with humor and an open spirit.

I pledged per kilometer.... I wonder how far he will run?!?!
