I have now walked more miles than I have seen episodes!  (that is a good thing!) By the end of April I had walked 84 miles.  That is a little behind schedule because April is so killer busy for me.  But it is still okay, and I got good walking in today and yesterday, so May is off to a good start.   I have not lost any weight (which would be a lovely bonus, should it occur) but I do feel a lot more fit.

[77-78 ] Supernatural:
7.19 Of Grave Importance (4-20-12)  Dir.  Tim Andrew; Wr. Brad Buckner and Eugenie Ross-Leming
7.20 The Girl with the Dungeons and Dragons Tattoo (4-27-12) Dir.  Johnny MacCarthy; Wr. Robbie Thompson
These two episodes were both fantastic.  I burst into tears twice during 7.20 because it was just too cool.  The Girl is one of the best ever!!!

[79-80 ] Community:
3. 14 "Pillows and Blankets" (4-5-12)
3.17 Basic Lupine Urology (4-26-12)
I am behind in my Community -- I missed two eps!  These two were both awesome though.

[81 ] Movie: The Hunger Games
This movie was so much better than I expected -- very hard hitting and political, which I didn't really expect.  Did it hit me harder because I am Appalachian?  I can vouch that squirrels are tasty.

[82] Doctor Who: The Two Doctors (1985), feat. Six and Peri, also Two and Jamie, vs. some Sontarans, "Androgums" (sadly racist), and the Third Zone.  We have watched the first two parts, and this one is pretty fun: Six is Rude and Two is Panicky.  Plus Jamie gets to wear about 20 pounds of plaidy.  He rocks.  I also like Peri and her clothes from 1985.  I used to wear a headband across my forehead just like that!

[83] Macbeth  (Great Performances 39.3, 10-6-2010) with Patrick Stewart.
OMG, this production is so chilling.  We haven't finished it yet because I have to keep taking breaks!!

I have had a good time in April writing for the Spring Doctor/Rose Fixathon and for the DWPronathon, so that has been good. I still want to write some sort of Labyrinth crossover, and maybe some Eleven/Rose for the fixathon.  The pronathon is so awesome, we should extend it for the Merry Month of M----.

I have two songs that are still in production.  It is so hard to make a great recording.

I went to the show of an awesome Indie Rocker Woman named Ms. Fridrich.  You can buy her CD from bandcamp.  I have been playing it over and over.  yay!

Today is a genuine Day Off. My son went away on Spring Break and I am taking the day off.  The sun is up and the birds are singing.  Yesterday my husband and I took a very nice stroll around a nearby lake and I almost stepped on a muskrat.  Someday soon I hope to start a photobucket so I can share some of the lovely pictures I've taken this spring, including several muskrats!

Today will be a big day of straightening the house, planting some seeds, taking a nice walk somewhere, and enjoying myself, hopefully work a little on my new songs.  I have a very hard piece by Purcell that I need to perfect by Easter, when I will also be playing guitar in a sunrise service outside at 6:15!  Actually, greeting the sun outside on Easter morning is one of my very favorite ways to celebrate the day.

Apparently the Daleks are ready to help me relax!   This youtube made me shriek with laughter.  Dalek Relaxation Tape  :D

A lot of media was watched by me in March!!!  However, I also walked 45 miles in March, bringing my total up to 58 miles so far.  It still seems kind of wrong that I've watched more eps than I have walked miles!  Still, I've completed two new songs, and have two more that I hope to record this week!

It is now 8:10 am, I finally finished this entry, and now time to get out of bed and start the day!  :D  Wishing everyone out there a lovely April morning!

In media log news, we finished Classic Who, Four, Sarah Jane, and Harry, in [49] "the Ark in Space," and moved on to Four and Leela in [50] "Robots of Death." The main characters had AMAZING 1970s costumes and makeup. I could just hear the director telling the Robots to try and sound more like C3PO. We laughed really hard during the extras which were all clips of the mining model going through the mist and the dirt. We were punchy I guess. :P We are now watching Three and Jo Grant in [51]  "Planet of the Daleks." I always love Dalek stories. Three and Jo have a very fun relationship in this story; they are so fond of each other. Four is always so gruff with Leela he hardly seems to like her at all in the stories I've seen. And he's always kind of taunting Sarah Jane. I'm very much looking forward to watching more Classic Who.

[52] My husband and I are watching a Sherlock Holmes movie starring Christopher Lee called Incident at Victoria Falls (1991).  It is okay.  Even though I didn't die with loving BBC Sherlock, apparently it has given me a jones for more Sherlock.

I ordered "Clocking Off" for my new multiregion DVD player. The seller emailed me like "this is not region 1!!!" and I was all "i am SO READY with my multiregion player!!!" Amazon.co.uk would not ship me a new copy of Clocking Off from the UK, so I had to order it from a US seller. What is up with that?  ...  Elizabeth came in the mail. Haven't watched it yet!

Read a really great YA novel the other day at school:
The London Eye Mystery is a children's mystery novel by English author Siobhan Dowd. First published in 2007, it tells the story of how Ted, a boy with Asperger syndrome, solves the mystery of how his cousin Salim seemingly vanishes from inside a sealed capsule on the London Eye. It was Dowd's second children's novel and won six awards, including the School Library Journal Best Books of the Year Award 2008, the Booklist Children's Editors' Choice Award 2008, the Horn Book Fanfare Award 2008, and the Kirkus Reviews Best Children’s Books Award.
I really liked the mystery and the first person narration of Ted. Apparently this is another Sherlock substitute. :P

Also pre-ordered Shada by Douglas Adams and Gareth Roberts, then spent a long time on abebooks looking at Gareth Roberts novels.  Feel annoyed that someone born in 1968, my birth year, has successfully published so many original Who novels, starting in 1993.  hmmm.

The weather here is warm and sunny.  All the flowers are blooming, including my own daffodils.  Our magnolia trees in the neighborhood are in bloom, as are the mulberries.  The camellias are gorgeous.  Am feeling very good with my walking regimen, though now there is something funny about my toenail, grr, so am applying MAGIC teatree oil.  Zap!

If you read this far, you may leave a prompt!  :D
